David De Gea in the finest form

It’s been some start to the season for David De Gea, the Manchester United goalkeeper was in exceptional form against Arsenal making 14 saves.

Manchester United came out 3-1 winners at the Emirates. Arsenal had peppered De Gea’s goal throughout and the big stopper made save after save in a real goalkeeping master class.

United Manager Jose Mourinho  told BBC Sport “You need the keeper to be there for you when the team needs”  “I told De Gea after the match, what I saw today was the best from a goalkeeper in the world.”

Opposition manager Arsene Wenger even reserved a compliment for De Gea, despite his clear frustration at the result.

“I am really disappointed because it was a good performance,” he said. “But we had nothing to show for it at the end and that is hard to take. Their goalkeeper was absolutely outstanding.”

And De Gea has been speaking to MUTV, De Gea said: “Sometimes, you just start a game with a really good save, with a good feeling, you feel that [unbeatable] but we started the game really well, we scored two important goals and it’s true that we lost a bit of a control of the game after, but it was a good performance.”
